Sandy Springs celebrating July 4th with fireworks, food and music

Sandy Springs will hold its annual Stars & Stripes Fireworks Celebration at City Springs on Friday, July 4, with a live concert, food trucks and a free fireworks display.
The city hosts the event at 1 Galambos Way.
The event begins at 4 p.m. Blankets, lawn chairs (preferably low back chairs) are allowed, but outside tables, pop-up, tarp, or canopy tents are not allowed. Umbrellas are permitted, but should be lowered at the start of the concert, a news release said. Sparklers are not allowed.
Food trucks will begin to sell and serve meals at 6 p.m. Attendees can also bring a picnic or purchase food from nearby restaurants. Alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase at CityBar and other concession outlets, the release said. Only on-site purchased alcoholic beverages are allowed.
Live music from Hot Flash starts at 7:30 p.m., according to a city news release. The group will perform music from the ‘80s dance rock era. Personal sparklers are not allowed for safety reasons. Fireworks will follow at 9:30 p.m.
Parking will be available at the City Springs Underground lot ($10), and for free at Lake Forest Elementary School with shuttle pick-up available. The release said that the shuttle will run from 4 to 11 p.m. Shuttle service will pause during the fireworks show.

ADA parking will be available at the City Springs South Parking Lot at 182 Hildebrand Drive NE and at the City Springs Underground Deck ($10), which has elevators available, but limited spaces.
Other places to park include Century Springs Office Park, Chase Bank, AmerisBank, Truist Bank, Mr. Tire, Sandy Springs Commerce Building, and the Sandy Springs Library. Visit the city’s Stars & Stripes website for details.
